A relationship without trust is much more like a car without gas. This is a metaphor that simply depicts that if you do not have trust and faith in your relationship, it is simply not worth your time and emotions.
Trust is one of the major components that you should be having in each and every relationship, be it that of a mother and a child, a parent and a kid, a teacher and a student, a husband and a wife, or even among the friends.
If you do not have that trust factor in your relationship, you are just faking it around and that does make absolutely no sense.
