When you carry your own water, you will be able to learn the value of each and every drop. This is a way to demonstrate the fact that we never realize the value of something until and unless we earn it all by ourselves.
Too often, we keep on wasting things like food or money, and we do it only because we lack the realization that they are hard-earned by some way or the other.
We generally have or had a tendency to waste food on the dining table. This is because we do not understand the amount of effort that our parents have to put in order to earn the money that cost that food.
Also, we lack the ability to understand that our mom had spent time and lost so much sweat in cooking it.
Not just this, we also fail to understand the hardships that our farmers had to go through, in cultivating and harvesting the food. It takes a lot of hard work to be able to fetch something, and we often lack the ability to understand it.
It is essential to understand that once you carry your own water, you will be learning the cost of every drop. You are able to apprehend the value of money only when you earn it. In the same way, we understand the value of food and water only when we have to go out and toil for the whole day.
In the same way, we often ignore a lot of things in our lives and we get to understand their true value only when we have to go through the tremendous labor in earning it.
Nothing comes easy, not even water. We keep our tap opened, all throughout the day. However, we fail to understand that each and everything is hard to get, and we learn the value of each and every drop only when we ourselves bear the same.
As long as we have our parents to take care of, we think that we have a constant support system right beside us to guide through the hassles. We fail to understand that life isn’t easy, and there are a lot of difficulties ahead.
Hence, if we are dealing with those hardships yet not giving up, we should learn to offer the desired respect that they deserve! We should never waste any bit of the resources available to us, and we must be using them to the full extent.
