In a relationship, no matter if it is about a husband and a wife, a parent and a child, or any other, you need to understand that caring for someone comes with a lot of responsibilities. When you say that you care for that person, there’s a lot of other thoughts that stay hidden right within your words.
However, there are times when we have to separate ourselves from our loved ones. There are several situations when we accept the distance, not because of the fact that we don’t care for them anymore.
We do it only because we feel that the distance will teach the other person to keep growing all by themselves. Being a little harsh or rude isn’t bad if that can help another person to be self-dependent.
Remember the time when your parents left you all alone to keep walking without holding your hands, and it was only because of the fact that you get to learn to do things all by yourself. You might fall down, but that’s when you would try to stand up, and thus, keep walking.
Therefore, detaching someone from our life does not mean that we do not care for them anymore. It simply means that we are not crazy, such that it will reflect the other person from doing things all by himself or herself.
The love and care still remain intact. At times, you do get a bit rude, just to make sure that the other person is learning, and being able to tackle himself or herself without anyone’s assistance.
Many a time, you need to hide your emotions in front of the other person in order to make sure that the latter is able to gather all the beliefs on himself. He or she should be able to have confidence in his or her potential.
This would come only when that person would realize that he/she doesn’t have anyone’s back to support or pull him/her out of any obstacle. Be involved, but from far, if that is meant to do good to the ones you love and care for!
