Look around and you will find numerous reasons to be happy. Happiness need not be tied to only a few things. Many of us attach our happiness to only a few things and feel dejected when any of that doesn’t pan out the way we want.
We should rather concentrate on the many things we do have. If you look carefully, you will find that there are many things that you do not acknowledge, or they go unnoticed, but you could derive a lot of joy from them.
A little example could be the flower that bloomed in your garden or the bird that chirps continuously. There are people around you who are doing thankless jobs to keep us in comfort. Striking up a conversation with them can also bring joy.
Some of us feel very dejected and unhappy when we face problems. We feel all that is wrong in the world is happening to us. That is not the case. Everyone has their fair share of problems, but it only helps to be optimistic.
The ray of hope and positive energy helps us in getting the push that is required to get fight our problems. If we keep scrutinizing, we will see that we always have something less than the one we are comparing ourselves with.
Stop comparing with others as it only spews negativity. Concentrate on your own treasures and be thankful for them. It will keep you and those around you happy and content. You will see the beauty of life and learn to enjoy it truly.
