We, human beings have a tendency to get carried away in joy. If the joy stays long enough, we think that it is the way of life. Our expectations increase and we feel that it is the new normal. We take things for granted and do not value it as much as we had when we did not have it.
But we should not work in this way. We should be conscious of what we have and be thankful for it. Whatever we possess in excess, we should donate it to others who might need it. This will help the society grow and prosper without creating a wide disparity between those who enjoy a good life with those who are not as fortunate.
When difficulties strike us, we feel compromised and then realize the worth of the good times that we had. We never know when calamity strikes. So, we should be grateful for every good moment that we have.
When faced with difficulties we understand the true value of everything that we might have taken for granted. When the difficult times pass and we see good times again, then we enjoy it even more. It is because we know how we had missed it or how privileged we truly are that we could get the success that we are seeing today.
During difficult times, we lose hope but when we come out of it, we understand the value of what we had been longing for so long, even more. Thus, both difficult, as well as happy times, help us shape into the persons we become eventually.
